Bob Hartford of Silverwood Design
Since the mid seventies Bob Hartford has designed hundreds of residential projects, relying heavily on the craftsman style and passive solar home building techniques. Projects have ranged remodels and additions to large custom homes and entire communities. He holds an N.C. Unlimited General Contractor's Commercial License, and is LEED certified. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) In early 2000 Bob developed and designed the homes for the largest active solar home community in North Carolina, Bingham Ridge. Prior to that effort, he was the General Contractor and Project manager for the the Arcadia Project in Carrboro North Carolina. Silverwood has been designing and building Green, Solar and Sustainable craftsman for nearly three decades, bringing energy efficient plans to the mainstream American market.
